Sincerely, Your Shadow #4

I didn’t really have a choice; If my parents weren’t my parents, and if I can’t tell Father about my shadow… I just had to find out.  So I left that night.
I dressed up and left the house more quietly than a mouse.

Nothing looked really magical about the willow or pond, but I still went under the willow tree’s coat of leaves and incanted, “Crystal clear path, appear.”

A bridge appeared across the water.  It didn’t look sturdy since it looked like it composed of evaporated water and fog.  On the other end of the bridge stood a figure, most likely my shadow.  So I walked on.

To my surprise, the bridge was quite strong.  Nevertheless, I hurried across, not wanting to take an unexpected bath.  As I arrived across, I tripped on a pile of weeds.  Before I could hit the ground, a cold hand caught me.  I looked to see who my savior was, a practically black transparent girl.  It looked like a silhouette if you took one quick look, but if you looked really closely, you could see some human-like features.

“I am Your Shadow.”
